The 10th of April 2008 will probably stand out as the worst day in my life so far. I had to say goodbye to a friend that will live in my heart forever. The saddest thing for me is that we could have spend so much more quality time together but life did not work out that way.
Grant Berrington was born 19 December 1966 and passed away on 03 April 2008 and what a loss that was for the world. Grant had a zest for life and an energy around him that was contagious. He always had a smile for everyone and I never saw him angry or upset. He also had the clearest blue eyes that could look right through a person and he always looked at you directly when you spoke to him. He had the knack of making you feel like you are the most important person at that moment in time.
He loved and adored his children, and even though they went through some tough patches, he love his wife Tracy more than life itself.
Grant, I will miss you and your smile. Tracy and the kids will miss you. Your myriad of other friends will miss you. But you will always be in our hearts. I also know that yesterday you were probably in the crowd trying to console us while we cried because you would not have wanted us sad. You will be sorely missed by everyone who knew you but I know that we will meet again one day.
Here’s a Jack to you, Grant! <clink>
